About

Toms-Price is two names. Back in 1908 Edwin Toms and George Price combined their resources and expertise to open a small furniture shop on Wabash Avenue in downtown Chicago. The shop specialized in furniture handmade by local craftsmen. Each home delivery was painstakingly done by horse and wagon. In 1940, Mr. Toms retired leaving the operation of the company to the Price family. Over the years, Toms-Price has put an increased emphasis on an interior design service for large or small projects. Fourth generation son Scott Price joined the company in 2003 and helped to open a Toms-Price store in Westfield Old Orchard shopping center. Today, the four beautiful Toms-Price stores are located in Wheaton, Lincolnshire, Skokie Old Orchard Center (just 20 minutes from downtown Chicago) and in South Barrington at the Arboretum. Along with furniture from over fifty top-of-the-line manufacturers, each store offers a fine rug gallery and a luxury mattress department. The Toms-Price Furniture Outlet opened in 2005 and is located in the western suburb of Bloomingdale, IL. Under the same roof is the company headquarters. Executives, operations personnel, dedicated customer service professionals, delivery crews, and an upholstery service reside at this location. Come experience first-hand why the March 2016 "Best of the West" issue of West Suburban Living Magazine included Toms-Price stores in South Barrington, Wheaton, and the Bloomingdale Outlet as one of the best places to buy furniture!
