About
Adult Christian Day Care opened its doors in 1978. The idea of an adult day care materialized after a coalition of local churches identified a need and an interest in serving frail, elderly persons in the community.
In particular, the organization was formed to provide a safe, dignified, pleasant environment for adults needing daytime care and offer families a quality alternative to full time care in the home. Beginning as an all-volunteer organization, in 1987 Adult Christian Day Care was incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and has resided of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Elmhurst for the past 35 years.
Our Mission
The mission of Adult Christian Care is to provide a planned program to stimulate and enrich the daytime hours of moderately, impaired adults so that they may continue to reside at home.
