The Barrington is located on Northwest Highway at Western Avenue. Depending how long you have lived in the Village of Barrington you might remember some of our previous tenants such as Chicago Aerial, Recon Optical, GE Capital, GE Medical, Goodrich or Shire. All of which were staffed with local individuals that enjoyed this fully landscaped 40 acre campus at some point over the past 56 years. In October of 1960, then Presidential candidate John F Kennedy visited the site. as a community focused Corporate Village on a 40 acre fully landscaped For many years this high security campus contained businesses that were working campus on Northwest Highway & Western in the Village of Barrington. on secret government and private sector programs. Very few visitors were allowed at the campus. The Bourns Property is being rebranded as "The Barrington" and serving Today, the campus is being transformed into three multi-tenant buildings collectively called The Barrington, and visitors are welcome. There is planning for the 540 Building to house a wellness center, medical center, bioengineering, co-working office space, separately leased corporate offices, a child-care center and various food and beverage operations. This month we celebrate the arrival of the growing staff of Ortho Molecular Products, who have leased the second floor of the 540 Building. They are the first tenant that has chosen The Barrington as the location of their new corporate headquarters. The Barrington, 550 Building (103.000sf) divisible. Bourns, Inc, a family-owned international electronics company owns The Barrington campus and is holding an open house of the 540 Building for the local community. You are invited to walk the halls of what was most recently the headquarters for GE Healthcare. The Bourns Family wishes to bring a livelihood back to The Barrington campus that will allow the Village of Barrington community a place to work, shop, dine and focus on good health.
