Casey Chlebek was born in Czarny Dunajec, a small town located in the southernmost region of Poland called Podhale, next to the Tatra Mountains. Within one week of his graduation in 1967, his mother, brother, and he emigrated to the United States to rejoin their father in Chicago. For the past fifteen years, he has been involved in leadership positions with various American civic and Polish-American organizations.
