The Illinois Department of Transportation cordially invites you to attend an open house public meeting concerning the preliminary engineering and en vironmental study (Phase I) for the improvement of Barrington Road from Central Road to llinois Route 62 in the Villages of South Barrington and Hoffman Estates in Cook County. The general scope of work for this im- provement consists of roadway widening and reconstruction to provide two lanes in each direction separated by a median, bicycle and pedestrian ac commodations, and intersection and drainage improvements. The details of the meeting are as follows: DateWednesday August 29, 2018 Time: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m Location: South Barrington Village Hall 30 S. Barrington Road South Barrington, IL 60010 Purpose of the Meeting: Present the proposed improvement Obtain public input Interested persons may attend anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m Exhibits will be on display and project team members will be present to discuss the project and answer questions. The improvement is anticipated to impact 1.2 acres of wetlands, and encroach into the floodplains of Poplar Creek and Tributary A of Poplar Creek. The Department will process an IDNR floodway permit for the reconstruction of the structure over Poplar Creek. This meeting will be accessible to people with disabilities.
