Drive-Thru Pork Chop Dinner Sponsored by Kane County 4-H Foundation Take a night off from cooking dinner and support your local community with the Kane County 4-H Foundation's drive-thru dinner fundraiser. Ticket sales are now open for the event, which is 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at Lion's Park in Elburn. "This fundraiser is in lieu of our annual pork chop dinner and auction event," said Bill Collins, treasurer of the Kane County 4-H Foundation and event chairperson. "With everything this past year, we wanted to still find a way to support 4-H Youth Development programs in our communities, as well as other valuable University of Illinois Extension programs." Dinner tickets are $20 and includes a 2-chop meal with sides and dessert, as well as 50/50 raffle chance. The pork chops will be prepared by the Elburn Lions Club, and served by that group, as well as Kane County 4-H families and Extension volunteers. COVID-19 safety precautions have been taken. Pre-sale tickets for the drive-thru dinner are available through March 15 by contacting Bill Collins at 630-484-6852 or Doris Braddock at dbraddock@illinois.edu or 217-300-8664. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit University of Illinois Extension programs in Kane County including: 4-H Youth Development, Home and Community Education Association, Horticulture, Master Gardener, and Nutrition Welfare Programs.
