Business Insight presented by Arlington Dermatology Traditions... We all have some customs and inherited behaviors when it comes to Holidays. Some of them might be very religious traditions, some others might be...just the way that Grandma did it.... Some of those customs may be related to historical events and may be followed by many different religions or nationalities. One of the most important traditions common in many communities is sharing food. We experience a lot of that in our clinic every year. Our employees bring food from home to share with others and our patients bring us food and sweets to share with us. While we all need to be careful and not overeat, we appreciate that tradition a lot. It brings us all closer and it allows us to learn more about various national Holiday goodies. It also allows us all to connect at a more personal level and not'doctor's office' level. We always strive for that more individual connection, but not always is it possible. During the Holidays, we make sure we make space and time for that personal social level. You should do it too. Connect with others not just on Facebook or other media. Connect directly through sharing of a cookie or soup, or any other form of more personal level. It will make all of us better. Wishing you the best for the upcoming Holidays and New Year.
