Business Insight Congratulations Class 2020! Your community needs you! *.You cannot be happy even if you are wealthy and well if everybody else around you is sick and poor. This is a simple citation from the remarks of President Obama's speech to graduates of Class 2020. Simple but so inspiring and teaching. It is teaching us that we just cannot do it all by ourselves. Yes, we must focus on our own needs and individual priorities but, at the same time, our success can be only fulfilled if it aligns with the common good. This is especially true these days when we all stay home in isolation from our friends, families, coworkers, and neighbors. We tend only to our essential needs and the sense of community seems to be shaded. And, on the other hand, the sense of community and its responsibilities has never been more theyjoke, and they show their appreciation important and visible. We are all in the same boat; we must work on it together. Philosophy of individualism is very popular and it has its own values: we admire individual talents, discoveries of They have questions and hesitations. And bright minds, original and unique ideas, and we value people who deliver those. But, at the same time, we support many who stay behind and we contribute our time and money to volunteer for thousands of projects for people who are less fortunate. As a nation and as a community, we have proven many times we can mobilize our efforts and deliver. Now, it is such time. There is not a single of community, living together through business, workplace, school, or home that is not experiencing anxiety, frustration, and hardship. Whether it is financial or psychological discomfort, sickness or sadness, we all know that we must and special togetherness should be the main will pull out and deliver, for the common good and for the positive example for our children, not only the graduates of Class 2020. We do not have all the answers and we sometimes do not even know what questions to ask but we must do it again and show our examples to the world. That is our community responsibility. Every day, coming to my practice, 1 see examples of my own employees who experience the same difficulties most of that example for our graduates. the country does. I talk to my patients, many of them older and with multiple ailments. I am pretty sure they all worry about the future. But they stay positive, for us, being here for them. Many of my patients have chronic problems requiring constant attention, hundreds of them take medication that cannot be interrupted. I feel awkward sometimes not being able to answer all of their questions. But, as a doctor and a human being, this is the first time in my life I witness pandemic of that size and consequences. And I am questioning myself about how to find the optimal answers. But by sharing our worries and our thoughts, my patients and 1, created that very special sense the novel hardship times, each of us in a different way, but yet together and responsible for each other. ommunity responsibility and that thought and example for our graduates.
