Business Insight presented by Arlington Dermatology Celebrate the 4th! I am not going to talk about medical science or illnesses today. Yes, they are a part of our lives every day and there are always more questions than answers. But this week we celebrate the birthday of our country. The country we were born in or the country we chose to spend our life in. Those circumstances or decisions put us all in the same box full of benefits and responsibilities. The box was established some 200 + years ago by our founders and authors of our founding documents: Declaration of Independents and Bill of Rights. Since, we have added amendments as we have grown, and lives have changed. We continue looking at these documents as our foundation and creed. Technology and the modernization of everything around it made it challenging to look back at history and its events and continue learning our lessons from them. As a society, we also have a very short memory span, and we probably are guilty of forgetting some lessons. We also became more impatient and more self-centered than our predecessors. These are not good characteristics if you combine them with a short memory. They make us less human. They also do not project any positive for the future. Reflection and history lessons are and should be our guidance on decision making process, regardless of whether it is a medical decision or buying a car decision. So, this day of the 4th of July 2025, I wish everybody a great time with families and reflection of who we are as a society and the country, where we are going, and how we should fulfill our duties and responsibilities to maintain the benefits we have been getting from our country.
