Business Insight New Faces, New Help I owe you several words of explanation and reminders. Earlier this year, I introduced Dr. Chris Rivard who has a long history with our practice but now finally joined me on a full-time basis as a provider. Dr. Rivard has been around for many years. He was a key person in our small research department before he got admitted to medical school. During his clinical training, he spent weeks helping us when he had vacation or holiday time off. After graduation from medical school, he trained at the local suburban hospital, with additional dermatology training at the dermatology surgical course in San Diego. In short, he has been educated in theory and clinical skills for several years and brings a lot of fresh energy and enthusiasm. Most of all, he knows our patients. Raised and schooled in Palatine, he spent his entire life in the community and possibly saw some of you during his times as a research coordinator. We do not need to train him about who our patients are and what they need. I could not find a better fit for an associate and a provider. presented by Arlington Dermatology On another note, we already miss some of our seasonal employees: Angelica and Gordon who assisted us during their school vacations, now are back at their respective schools. Angelica was a 'star' of a very recent interview by District 214, where she attended high school for 4 years. Her people skills and enormous abilities to learn and absorb like a sponge made her a really welcomed help in our practice. She is now a proud student of the University of Illinois in Chicago, hoping one day to follow Dr. Rivard's steps and become a doctor. We wish her all the best and hope she will re-visit her employment during the time off from school. Gordon is back in Champaign, pursuing his education further and hopefully try medical school entry exams soon. What a pride for me and my practice to motivate, train, and educate such a great team of people! And what a pride to hire them back when they accomplish their dreams. The rest of us, simply unchanged but equally motivated to serve you as always. I am sending my own kid to college this year, so you may see me nostalgic sometimes. First time experience. Where did all that time go? Time is the only thing pushing and it might be pushing on you to re-visit your skin. Summer sun is great, but it leaves spots that need to be checked. If you were off your psoriasis medication you may flare it here and there. Do not wait until it gets really bad. Stop by for the acne re-check before the kids return to their busy schedules. Make sure to drink water and moisturize your skin, especially if you are 60+. Call our research team to find out what is new in development of some treatments. There is always something of a novelty developing there. We are considering some open houses this fall, but truly, we are waiting to see how COVID-19 will travel and affect us all. We are also preparing for some additional precautions if needed. All of it simply to make sure we protect our patients and our staff. In any case, I hope to see you soon and please, do not forget to stop and ask for Dr. Rivard to introduce himself.
