Business Insight Christmas Carol Every year, Goodman Theatre (and many other stages) show A Christmas Carol performance. Based on a novel by Charles Dickens, it is equally funny and sad, and it carries some time universal messages. But when we go to see it, we mostly do it for the purpose of tradition. We look at the assemble of actors, we wonder about costumes. Despite the fact that there are many obvious situations in front of them, situations requiring their attention, time and perhaps money, they are blind to them. of the ghosts to make him a normal man. They are personal choices. They are personal priorities. For the novel's Scrooge, even love of his Belle was not enough to spare money for the wedding. He lost her to another man. Poverty, disease, and work beyond human abilities, all of it meant nothing to Scrooge. He was a man rich in gold and poor in spirit. He was an empty jar, with no compassion, empathy, or even simple understanding of facts. His God was money, money he did not want to share. It took a lot for Scrooge to 'wake up' his soul. He got scared. He felt guilty. He was afraid of his own future and that cause the beginning of transformation. Others around him were dying, suffering cold and hunger, and it took a huge shake up Arlington Dermatology Let's move this real world of 1840s to 2022/2023. We can easily see that not much has changed. The coins have changed in monetary value, and we have different diseases. But human traits and characters remained the same. We can easily distinguish them around. As I said, they may be persons or institutions, but they equally show no empathy or compassion. And then, there are so many in needs. For many reasons, we see more and more disproportions in between the rich and the poor. Sick and strong. Quiet and mouthful. Do not allow yourself to wait until your own ghosts wake you up. I am not asking you to save the whole world. I am asking you to see the needs of others around you and support those needs according to your means. Let's have the Christmas spirit be a replacement for coins this year.
