'Like a Family Reunion' North Aurora Days brings music, family fun to Riverfront Park For two days in August, Riverfront Park in North Aurora will be the site for the ultimate summer celebration featuring live music, excellent food and a variety of family activities, Set for Friday, Aug 4 and Saturday, Aug 5, at the park located at 25 E. State St., the fest includes food vendors face painting, an inflatable climbing wall and Hippo Bungee Grab Game and the chance to take a photo with Stella the Sloth. A wide range of activities will also take place throughout the community during the two-day celebration, including a Community Garage Sale, Touch-A Truck at Mooseheart, a Scavenger Hunt, Softball Tournament, Fun Run and Fishing Derby. Now in its 35th year, North Aurora Days draws people from the community and beyond, including both current and former residents said North Aurora Mayor Mark Gaffino "North Aurora Days is like a family reunion, Gaffino said. The final night of North Aurora Days will open with Strung Out perfoming classic 70s hits, followed by Hillbilly Rockstarz performing country hits from yesterday and today.
